Safety box range
    AXONE Micro III is a range of safety boxes used to control single-speed or dual-speed smoke and heat exhaust fans.

  • AXONE units range from calibre 4.7A to 100 A and offer a clear, simple interface on the front panel. They offer two types of operation:

    • " Smoke and heat exhaust” 1-speed or 2-speed (Dahlander or independent windings). The “progressive start” 1-speed or 2-speed range enables major savings on the power of the AHU and savings on the installation cost,

    “comfort + smoke and heat exhaust” 1-speed or 2-speed (Dahlander or independent windings).


  • All AXONE Micro III safety boxes for smoke and heat exhaust fans meet the regulatory requirements for public-access buildings.
  • It is possible to track back and view the last 5 faults.

    The AXONE Micro III safety box is the interface between the LV distribution panel and the smoke and heat exhaust fan. It serves as a switch on the power supply to the smoke and heat exhaust fan.

  • The safety box manages the operation of the fan and any fault that may prevent the operational activation (smoke exhaust) of the fan. It communicates permanently with the FACP (Fire Alarm Control Panel).

    • when ordered by the FACP, AXONE Micro III actuates the fan in “smoke exhaust” mode, closing the appropriate contact,

    when ordered by the fire brigade shut-off control (box or FACP), AXONE Micro III shuts down the fan and switches to fault mode (IMPORTANT: the fan is stopped but is not in Standby mode),

    when ordered by the reset control (box or FACP), AXONE Micro III shuts down the fan and switches to Standby mode.

    French standard NF-S 61-932 stipulates installation rules: “A safety box for a smoke and heat exhaust fan must be installed outside the safety zone(s) served by the fan unit it controls.”
    In general, the safety box is installed either close to the LV distribution panel, or close to the fan unit. In the latter case, AXONE Micro III fitted with a switch and pressure switch is perfectly suitable and compliant.

    A safety box must be installed by a technician trained/approved in this type of installation.
  • The fire brigade shut-off box must feature two secured positions 0-1 with level 2 access control (e.g. key). It must be located near the FACP.
  • The reset box must feature two unsecured positions 0-1 with return from right to left, access control level above 0 (e.g. key). It must be located in the safety zone(s) corresponding to the safety box controlled.
