Soundproofed aluminium ALGAINE
ALGAINE Alu Sound-proofed is a flexible, semi-rigid duct comprising two layers of aluminium foil enclosing 25 mm of glass wool insulation. ALGAINE Alu Sound-proofed can be used to make an acoustically-insulated connection between a branch duct and a terminal on all commercial systems.

- simply slots onto the branch duct or plenum ring,
- push back the glass wool between the layers a few cm and stick the ends of the layers together with RAA aluminium tape. As the inner layer is perforated, the airtight seal will be made on the outer layer. Pay special attention therefore to joining the two layers of the duct together at the end,
- fit the two joined layers of the duct over the connector and attach using a multi-purpose clamp or CSF wire collar on the Aluminium tape,
- two lengths are connected together using an RM male connector,
- in all cases, to prevent pressure losses and sound propagations, limit the use of bends to a minimum.
